It’s been a month already, and still nothing on the gaming front. Who could have guessed! On the plus side, there’s been a lot of cleaning, organisation, and general maintenance of life things: The kitchen cupboards are clean; thanks to my new laptop it’s been fast and easy to access all those old pictures taking up harddrive space, which led to plenty of smiles at family and friends, and a purging of awful memories of awful people; and the household finances have never been treated even once to a detailed spreadsheet with the purpose of their health in mind before. Until a few days ago, I hadn’t created a spreadsheet since school. We have apps for that, these days. With, of course, the loss of privacy and the risk of losing everything at the deletion of the app by its creators or an app store.
So my life is feeling tidy right now, even though I am eyeing all of the games and books on our shelves, and all the old camping equipment we never use. It’s amazing how much one can get done when there are other tasks for one to avoid.
Here it is then, a renewed vow to get cracking with writing and gaming development. Even if my content only lasts for that one hour that I promised at the beginning of all of this, that’ll be one hour more than ever existed in the world before.
